August is always a busy month at L&F HQ and in 2023, it’s more so than ever. Three birthdays (the first of which is today) and this year a giant, two day family wedding! Forgive then, if a slight preoccupation with things nuptial creeps in …. The bride is keen to use as many local suppliers and services as possible, which suits us beautifully: it’s amazing just how many small enterprises there are out there, waiting for times to improve and for business to pick up. Which chimes exactly with what we have said all along: buy local, buy British, and buy better. You may pay a little more – and even that’s not always a cert – but you’ll be supporting and encouraging UK companies and keeping people in jobs. That’s worth the price of a coffee or two, surely!
