Methinks it’s time to introduce the L&F lurcher, Callie. So named because Isobel, whose job it is to name all our pets, felt that ‘Caledonia’ was a bit of a mouthful to yell. So here is Callie, now 8 months, and a marvellous mix of Bedlington Terrier, Irish Wolfhound, Greyhound and Whippet. No-one is quite sure in what proportion, so she may end up not very big, or she may be truly enormous – my vote is for the latter, but Mr I is really quite keen that she stays small. Whatever, she’s a delight. Needy beyond belief, and faster than greased lightning, but as soft as butter and utterly useless as anything but decoration and a source of amusement. Hands up anyone who would like her to feature in forthcoming designs….
