WARM AND COSY

WARM AND COSY

I don’t know how it is in your neck of the woods, but in this corner of rural Lincolnshire autumn has most definitely arrived.  Is this my favourite season?  It just might be (but then I tend to think that of each of them as they turn).  We’re lucky enough to be surrounded by huge trees here, and for most of the year that’s unreservedly wonderful.  But it’s pretty much around now that the fact they’re almost all deciduous is borne home and the task of clearing leaves becomes all consuming.  When I was a small child, my father used to walk us to school on his way to the office and at this time of year we would kick our way through the ever-growing piles of the beautiful things, down the quiet pavements of W8 (IYKYK).  To this day, that memory makes me happy.  As does wrapping up in the evenings against the dropping temperatures – so imagine my joy when we came across our newest L&F addition: the very softest, pretty pretty pretty 100% Welsh lambswool throws.  Quite ridiculously gorgeous – and, as you know we love, practical too.  We don’t put the central heating on here until it’s consistently 5° during the day for a minimum of three days – no joke, may I tell you – and I foresee all sorts of violence occurring around who gets which throw.  My favourite is the duck egg I think, but the point of them all is that they’re big and cosy and comforting beyond description.  They’re available from the second week in October - roll on the chill, I say!
