TAKE YOUR PICK...

I love the randomness of your orders at the moment.  We suddenly seem, for example, to have sold the last two of our Easter Sheep who were out to pasture in a box at the back of a high up shelf, on the assumption that they would remain unloved and unwanted until 2026. Wrong!  Perhaps someone wanted a pair for the Nativity scene?  Perhaps someone is getting seriously ahead of themselves.  Ditto our gorgeous little plant markers – a sudden flurry, and it seems we have a run of gardeners planning for the next growing season.   At a fair last Tuesday we couldn’t keep up with Bauble demand (yes, it’s a thing) and I slept like a (Yule) log that night, literally dreaming of Land Rovers and Christmas Puds.  We aren’t grumbling of course, by any means, and it’s lovely to be kept guessing.  One thing we know for sure however is that the worse the weather, the more the orders ping in.  Entirely understandable of course: when it’s wet and cold and dark outside, how better to spend an hour than wrapped around a hot mug of something, Christmas shopping?  (Unless it’s sitting by the fire watching Harry Potter, or Love Actually or something, obviously.)  And while we’re doing all this picking and packing and posting everything festive, we are already simultaneously booking our 2026 Christmas Fairs and thinking about new designs for Spring.  Carrots feature large, and possibly Beetroot, and it’s rather lovely to be looking forward to longer, brighter days.   While the garden sleeps, we’re planning its future, and that’s a great feeling.  If in doubt, dream.  It’s a good rule to live by.
