Have you seen our new Vases? Oh my life. We’re pairing them with the bang on trendy faux foliage that seems to be all the rage – and we do see why. We had a great time finding these lovelies and doing the photo shoot to go with them. It’s very strange: we take all the pictures in-house (literally) and then play ‘recognise the setting’ with the rest of the family. Amazing how often they don’t. Anyway – since we started this whole table-dressing malarkey we have become devotees of flowers, real or faux, on the table during meals as well as between them, and it’s lovely to see how they lift the most prosaic occasion. Breakfast at L&F HQ tends to be somewhat hit and miss, depending on who is where and what time they appear, but some how one of these beauties (the Etive is currently my absolute favourite) makes everyone up their game a little bit, turning a slightly chaotic hour or so into a civilised interlude. And just at the moment a little bit of civilisation would go quite a long way in the world – but also here on the home front. We have just had four windows replaced and we are such sad individuals that they have given us great joy. So much so that Mr I was found the other night, at about midnight, going round opening and shutting them just for the fun of it, and just because he finally could. We know how to live, here at L&F HQ.
