FAIR-Y TALES & CASTLES

FAIR-Y TALES & CASTLES

Day two today of the Rockingham Castle Autumn Artisan Fair and the sun is shining!  What an amazing place this is.  Henry VIII was a frequent visitor, as was King John and just about every one of any note ever – and most impressively of all, it has been home to the same family for 450 years.  Seeing some wonderful places is one of the best things of doing fairs all around the country.  And with C*******s approaching, we are heading into the very heart of the Fairs season.  We’re off shortly to York, Bath and Newcastle and the logistics are making my eyes swivel.  Between ordering stock, booking accommodation, hiring vans, sorting dog (and tortoise) care, making sure the home base is covered to keep orders fulfilled and the posties on their toes, stocking the fridge and staying ahead of the laundry, it’s a busy old time.  (WHICH, I have to say, I love.)   And some of the conversations you end up having with people who twenty seconds ago were complete strangers!  People are endlessly, endlessly riveting and it’s such a treat to have a reason and excuse to talk to every single one of you.  So please, keep an eye on our announcements and if you can, come along and meet us in person.  I promise: what goes on tour, stays on tour -  although if it’s really juicy, you may think it prudent to buy my silence with a little something from the nearest coffee van.  Just saying.
