FAIR ENOUGH

FAIR ENOUGH

We have two weeks, ladies and gentlemen, until F Day.  The Humby Hall Summer Fair 2025 is on 6 July and we are feeling the pressure.  We have twenty stands of local small businesses coming, Alpacas, a judged dog show, cream teas, Pimms and live music and we’re doing it in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society, and Sarcoidosis UK, both causes dear to us.  We’ll go ahead whatever the weather, so we have spent much of the last month doing a sun dance and manifesting blue and cloudless skies.  Foremost in our minds at the moment is the need for the paint we’re spraying on the grass not to be washed off: nothing kills a Fair vibe faster than cross stallholders not being able to find their pitches.  Unless it’s a lack of people through the gate and we’re making sure that isn’t an issue by delivering 1,000 fliers, putting up two giant banners and getting press coverage on local radio and in papers.   Lochs & Fens have bought a pitch of course, and we’re really looking forward to seeing some of you on our own home turf: if we aren’t personally selling when you arrive, you’ll know us from the flying hair and hassled look.  However ahead of the game you are on days like these, there are always unforeseen situations that arise, and we’ll be the ones trying to sort them.  So if you’re anywhere near here this time next week, do come in.  We’d love to see you!
